IAI RCS-C-SMR-I-100-2 is a single-axis AC servo actuator controller designed for a matching IAI RCS-SMR electric actuator. Its model configuration identifies an SMR actuator type, incremental feedback, a 100 W motor capacity and a 200 VAC power input.
The controller stores position and motion parameters and executes actuator movement according to commands received from an upper-level PLC. It is suitable for repairing existing machinery that requires the original RCS-C controller and actuator configuration.

Compatible Systems and Applications
RCS-C-SMR-I-100-2 can be used in component-transfer mechanisms, automated assembly equipment, inspection stations, packaging machinery, material-handling systems and production fixtures using a matching RCS-SMR actuator.
The controller receives movement and position commands through machine I/O and returns operating, completion and alarm signals. Actual speed, payload, stroke and positioning performance depend on the connected actuator and its mechanical configuration.
Maintenance and Replacement Notes
Before removing the installed controller, back up position data, motion settings and system parameters whenever possible. Record all PLC inputs and outputs, actuator direction, home position, soft limits and alarm assignments.
The SMR actuator code, incremental feedback, 100 W motor capacity and 200 VAC input are essential parts of the model. A controller for SS, SA, SM, absolute feedback or another motor capacity is not automatically compatible.
For legacy RCS-C controllers operating at 100 VAC or 200 VAC, IAI identifies SCON-CB as the successor direction. The replacement process may require verification of actuator support, controller dimensions, wiring, firmware, parameter conversion and teaching equipment.
